Responsibilities

As a Scheduler, you will work as a liaison between healthcare staff and the patients, assisting with a variety of clerical tasks to support your department. You will also greet patients and work with them to schedule various procedures, as well as help them get the information they need.

Some Of What You Will Do

• Schedules procedures considering a variety of factors.
• Assists with surgical billing as needed.
• Coordinates with other departments as needed when multiple procedures are required.
• Handles on call duties on a rotation basis to provide scheduling coverage 24 /7 for five metro area hospitals.
• Manages incoming calls, depot scheduling requests, and voice messages related to scheduling department requests.
• Manages direct fax scheduling requests and handling of scanned documents with On Base software.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 2 or more years of customer service or call center experience preferred
• Ability to handle a multi-line phone system
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Outlook & Excel)
• Prior healthcare knowledge preferred
  
  
  

Pay Range

$16.26 - $22.36 /hour
