POSITION ONE
Big City Pickle Sponsorship & Events Internship
Dates of Summer Internship: April/May 2025 through mid-August/September 2025
This position reports to the National Sponsorship Activation Director and Sponsorship Activation Manager
Responsibilities: Assist with leagues, events, tournaments, fitness and sponsorship activations at Big City Pickle (BCP) and some Chicago Sport and Social Club (CSSC) events such as Beach House/Six Pack Volleyball tournament, Volleywood Festival and Tournament. Will aid in social media marketing for Big City Pickle and Fulton Market Social Garden highlighting content for leagues, tournaments, social and corporate events, and sponsors. Note, this internship requires evening and weekend hours and occasional office work. Duties include but are not limited to:

Chicago Sport and Social Club Sponsorship & Events Internship
Dates of Summer Internship: April/May 2025 through mid-August/September 2025. This position reports to the National Sponsorship Activation Director and Sponsorship Activation Manager
Responsibilities: Assist with the leagues, event, tournament, and sponsorship activations at Chicago Sport and Social Club (CSSC) that may include but are not limited to Beach House/Six Pack Volleyball tournament, Volleywood Festival and Tournament, Fitness Festival events, champs parties, social mixers, sampling events at leagues and sponsor bars. Will aid in social media marketing for CSSC highlighting content for leagues, tournaments, social and corporate events, and sponsors. Note, this internship requires evening and weekend hours and occasional office work. Duties include but are not limited to:
Compensation: Interns will work a minimum of 15 hours per week within the CSSC office assisting with the overall administration and management of CSSC leagues and events. This portion of the internship will be unpaid. Interns will also work a minimum of 15 hours per week at CSSC leagues and events assisting with event management, marketing and promotions. This portion of the internship will be paid. This will be approximately 30 hours per week. Willing to work with your educational institution to ensure you receive internship credit hours toward your degree.

- Activate sponsorship events and tournaments for clients
- Assist in permitting, load-in/out, and serve as liaison between BCP staff and clients’ activation teams
- Support in the logistic aspects, but not limited to, maintaining accurate lists of event-specific assets for all activations.
- Professionally communicate and track all communication with sponsors and their 3rd-party vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Help maintain sponsorship activation calendar and stay on top of all deliverable deadlines.
- Assist with the recruiting and planning of sponsor bars.
- Assist in sponsor bar programming, which includes activating sponsor bar samplings, mixers, and champs parties.
- Assist with sponsorship content generation and recap statistics for
- Instagram & Facebook posts and reels & Stories and TikTok content
- Generate photos and raw video of sponsor activations, Leagues, Events and, and sponsor bar events for client recaps and adding to a library of content for future marketing and sales use.
- Participate in Weekly Sponsorship Department meetings and Monthly Sponsorship x Marketing meetings.
- Presence at all BCP Tournaments, Fitness Festival Events, Sports viewing events at The Garden, Sponsorship Activations and Beach House/Six Pack Volleyball tournament (June 28 at North Ave Beach), Volleywood Festival and Tournament (July 19 at North Ave Beach)
- Other operational/administrative tasks
- Qualifications Degree (or currently in college for) or strong experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Event Planning or equivalent experience (applicants must be 18 years of age or older) 1-2 years of relevant experience Writing and communication skills Strong organizational skills Strong work ethic and desire to learn and contribute Passionate, enthusiastic, and creative Desire to have fun and bring people together!
