We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring their satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with participants, providers, attorneys, local unions and trustees.
- Answer benefit status and coverage questions. Log all communications in our system with the ability to transition to documenting communication in the claims payment system.
- Review participant annual and accident/loss of time claim forms, miscellaneous general correspondence and eligibility documents.
- Request additional information, when necessary, in writing or by telephone regarding claims submitted to our office.
- Effectively communicate with participants who come to our office for assistance with their claims.
- Generate, send and track written correspondence.
- Work overtime when business needs dictate it.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Basic PC/WINDOWS knowledge.
- Basic Microsoft WORD skills;
- Must be able to handle a varying volume of phone calls throughout the workday;
- Ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of welfare benefits and eligibility requirements.
- Ability to maintain minimum production standards.
