What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Refugee Youth Mentoring Case Manager position at Chicanos Por La Causa Inc?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Youth Refugee Mentoring Case Manager is responsible for all tasks related to the operation of the CPLC Youth Refugee Mentoring Program (YRMP). The individual will work with sensitive client information and must maintain confidentiality amongst all aspects of the program. Additionally, the Case Manager must demonstrate strong work ethic, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize heavy workloads. The Case Manager must possess the ability to problem solve, demonstrate initiative and effectively work under pressure. Lastly, the Case Manager will do outreach within the refugee community to onboard new clients into program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and two years’ work experience with refugees.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in refugee case management, experience in providing customer service to public; or any combination of training and or experience, which indicates the ability to perform the required duties.
- Familiar with Arizona Resettlement Agencies and refugee resettlement process.
- Strong ties and partnership with refugee communities.
- Bi-lingual in English, Spanish, French, Swahili or other language is preferred.
SPECIALIZATIONS
Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking, weekly COVID-19 testing at their expense, and other requirements established by CPLC from time to time.
