OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist I role will perform tasks and duties that support the overall compliance of the Human Resources Department and help ensure that the Employee Culture Team is effectively meeting company policies and procedures, state, federal, local laws, and statutes. This position will maintain strict confidentiality and a high degree of integrity.
SPECIALIZATIONS
- Proficiency in computer software systems (Microsoft Office Suite – Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication competency
- Fantastic Customer Service/Care
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and ambiguity
- Prior experience working with ADP workforce preferred
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides excellent customer care to assigned programs
- Reviews and submits forms and documents to Payroll from multiple departments
- Processes unemployment claims timely and attends hearings as needed
- Conducts in-person and virtual audits, interviews, and investigative inquiries
- Performs extensive data gathering, analysis, and entry
- Compiles accurate team metrics, generates reports and surveys
- Composes Human Resources correspondence (Certified letters/Memos/Agreements)
- Liaises with employees, managers, directors, VPs, and/or SVPs from various departments
- Presents Human Resources trainings to employees based on CPLC policies, EEOC and DOL requirements
- Answers emails, phone calls, and mail in a timely manner. And conducts exit interviews
- Handles New hire info and/or recruiting initiatives (outside of Talent Acquisition responsibilities)
- Takes initiative to improve all current processes, policies, procedures, and systems used by the Employee Culture Team
- Provides compliance information from federal and state regulations concerning employment laws to programs
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to cause continual improvements
- Communicates and interprets policies, procedures, and regulations to departmental leaders and employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years of experience in either customer care, administrative, clerical, legal advocacy, or paralegal roles required.
- Two (2) years of general human resources experience preferred.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
