Established in 1899, Child & Family Service (CFS) is a community-based organization with a mission of strengthening families and fostering the healthy development of children. CFS has been a fierce advocate for children and families in the midst of social injustices and inequalities.
Our statewide support, counseling, and therapeutic programs help individuals and families heal from trauma, prevent abuse and neglect, and can break the cycle of generational poverty.
Job Summary
This position provides case management and coordination services to youth who are referred and their families. The individual will orient youth and their families to the program, assist in providing feedback to youth and family driven service plans, and provide warm handoffs during referrals and coordination.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with at-risk youth and families, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provides case management and coordination services to youth who are referred and their families
- Orients youth and their families to the program
- Assists in providing feedback to youth and family driven service plans
- Provides warm handoffs during referrals and coordination
- Provides family life education and advocacy as needed
- Maintains participant confidentiality at all times
- Attends all staff trainings and meetings as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major
- Basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing
- Master's Degree preferred
- Two years experience working with at-risk youth, preferably youth who have been involved with the juvenile justice system
- Valid Hawaii driver's license and clear driver's abstract
- Willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island
- CPR, CPI, and/or van driving training as necessary
- Criminal background investigation with a record clear of convictions
