POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet corporate driving requirements
- Proven leadership experience at an early childhood facility with multiple classrooms and programs.
- Minimum requirement of education/experience within one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university combined with 6 months of experience in the group care of children – or –
- Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education – or –
- Associate degree or equivalent combined with 1 year in a supervisory position and 2 years of experience in the group care of children
- Meet all requirements for an Assistant Director per WA Licensing regulations (WAC). MUST be verified in MERIT.
- Comprehensive knowledge of national and state education standards, licensing requirements and procedures, and fire, health, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising a team of at least 10 people.
- Valid Driver’s License with a driving record that meets company standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and community partners. Action oriented, organized, strategic thinker, focused on getting the right things done
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Site Director in managing day-to-day operations of the center including but not limited to student enrollment, staff scheduling, staff training and continued education, program planning, program implementation and evaluation, family relations, maintaining student and staff records.
- Supervise and mentor a team of staff, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress, needs, and any concerns they may have.
- Manage daily operations of the center, including scheduling and compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with the Site Director and curriculum coordinator to solidify the delivery of our existing curriculum, designed to promote holistic development and school readiness.
- Support teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
- Manage operations by communicating effectively with staff and holding them accountable to job-related responsibilities. Collaborate with parents and staff to build strong relationships and maintain effective communication channels.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations and resources to enhance the quality of our program.
- Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to set goals and objectives for the center, and work towards achieving them.
- A willingness to learn how to use Procare software for managing student information and center operations.
- Ability to train a staff of 20-40 and oversee the completion of performance appraisals, supervise the development of individualized goals for staff’s professional growth and development, as well as supervise the monitoring and evaluation of goal accomplishment
