As a member of our behavioral health team as a clinician, you are surrounded by a supporting team providing services to a population in need. This position works under the general direction of the assigned clinical supervisor and is responsible for professional therapy/counseling to individuals, groups and families, including the children and their families of our child development center with flexible hours.

Sample Job Duties:
1. Provide professional trauma-informed therapy to clients, ages zero throughout the lifespan, as needed and in accordance
with the guidelines and policies of the program in which the client is being served. Includes, but is not limited to, ongoing
professional in-office therapy/counseling as needed for individuals, families and/or groups to resolve issues driving
treatment. May work varied hours to meet with families of children at CDC. This position can flex work hours as needed.
2. Clinical consultation to the child development center staff and input into therapeutic intervention for children in the
therapeutic classroom. Attend and/or provide input for quarterly staffing for the children in the therapeutic classroom.
3. Complete our evidence-based Child Parent Psychotherapy to support therapy work with children 0-5 years of age and their
families.
4. Complete Special Needs Assessment for children that need therapeutic childcare.
5. Perform all necessary record keeping and reporting functions as required to adhere to agency and external requirements.
Includes, but is not limited to the following: Develop and maintain goal-oriented treatment plans; correspondence with other
agencies, programs, clients and collateral contacts; therapy notation and therapy discharge summaries to identify and
address treatment plans and effective quality care. Coordinate clinical aspects of assigned program areas to ensure efficient
facilitation.
6. Determine the need for and coordinate community resources and referrals for the families at the Child Development Cetner.
7. Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and training developed by the mental health team and Child Development
Center program.
8. Meet required minimum billable hour expectation of 20-25 a week.

Requirements
Master's degree in social work, counseling or closely related human services field with appropriate experience in family counseling, counseling individuals, or closely related counseling field that ensures adequate understanding of human dynamics at a professional level. Must have a foundation of trauma-informed care and/or willingness to attend trauma-informed trainings and practice from this philosophy. Licensed, or soon to be licensed to practice in the state of Iowa. Candidates with a diverse background and ability to speak other languages encouraged to apply!
