Development Officer
Job Summary: Development Officer provides direct support to the Development Team by driving efforts that advance the organization’s mission and achieve its financial goals. They cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners to secure contributions through events, grants, and campaigns. They are responsible for sustaining and enhancing existing partnerships to strengthen long-term support for the organization. This role also involves tracking donor engagement and ensuring consistent communication and stewardship.
Development Officer oversees: Donor relations and cultivation, fundraising campaigns, and special events designed to generate revenue and awareness for the organization. Manage grant writing efforts, sponsorships, and major gift solicitation.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of experience in nonprofit development or comparable position
- Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors
- CRM/Database Management
- Strong project management skills
- Preferred experience in grant writing
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Preferred understanding of the nonprofit sector and philanthropic trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, Doc, Canva, Outlook and CRM systems
