We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team and help support our mission.
Job Description: As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our museum. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, providing support to our staff, and assisting with visitor inquiries. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and a motivated self-starter, as well as someone who is passionate about our mission and the work that we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including managing emails, museum memberships, and scheduling parties and field trips.
- Assist with visitor services, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing information about exhibits, programs, and events.
- Help with event planning and coordination for museum activities and special events.
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in office administration or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in an Administrative Assistant or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion and commitment to our vision and mission.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a customer service role is a plus, especially in a museum or educational setting.
