Summary:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for furthering the mission of Children’s Museum Tucson | Oro Valley by ensuring the effective use of our customer relation management (CRM) database to facilitate clear communication, reporting, and prompt stewardship to our donors and members. As a member of the Engagement team this role manages donor records, builds reports for analytics and communication, and maintains the museum’s stewardship plan. The Development Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Development and supports the Development team carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Museum’s development plan.
Primary Responsibilities and Results:
- Assist Development and Events Manager to plan & execute annual fundraising and community events
- Process all donations and reconcile revenue
- Coordinate all event permits, licenses, and insurance, and maintain CMT’s good standing with City of Tucson and other governing bodies
- Maintain event coordination, processes, and timelines
- Coordinates with Guest Experience team for scheduling and event logistics
- Manage daily administrative work and strong inter-departmental communications
- Work as liaison for Board of Directors annual gifts
- Maintain prospect management system within the Museum’s database
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in nonprofit administration, communications, or related fields.
- Experience navigating donor management software and/or permitting and event management systems preferred
Language Skills:
This position routinely interacts with co-workers, volunteers, sponsors, media, other departments, and the public.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills required
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
- Familiarity with social media and marketing tools to promote events and fundraising campaigns.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
