Under the direction of the Child Welfare Manager, this position will plan, supervise and direct the work of the Child Welfare Case Managers in the Ongoing and In-Home Services programs. Assigns cases and evaluates job performance to coordinate casework activities within child welfare case management programs.

Role & Responsibility:
Under the direction of the Child Welfare Manager, this position will plan, supervise and direct the work of the Child Welfare Case Managers in the Ongoing and In-Home Services programs. Assigns cases and evaluates job performance to coordinate casework activities within child welfare case management programs.
Education, License & Certification:
- Knowledge acquired through a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent: Master's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling or Guidance and Counseling.
- Requires a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, personal auto liability insurance coverage and the ability to be insured by the CHHS auto insurance carrier.
- Must use personal vehicle to transport children, complete in-house car seat transporter training within one month of hire and re-train biannually thereafter to maintain.
- Social Work certification preferred.
- Three years experience in casework or case management at a human service agency. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
- On-call availability of 24 hours per day 7 days per week on a rotational basis.
- Knowledge in the application of theories, practices, and techniques of casework.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to social services, children, youth and families.
- Knowledge of community resources and how to utilize them effectively.
- Skill in performance evaluation.
- Effective verbal and written communication and ability to supervise workers.
- Ability to define problem areas, assemble facts and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with staff, clients, social service agencies, public officials and others.
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
