Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Answers telephone in professional manner and routes calls as appropriate.

2. Handles complaints in a courteous and professional manner.

3. Assumes responsibility for incoming mail opening and distribution.

4. Attends and records departmental or medical staff meetings as assigned.

5. Assumes responsibility for all correspondence for the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

6. Maintains current and accurate filing system.

7. Makes appointments and schedules individuals meetings as requested.

8. Completes tasks assigned by immediate supervisors in a timely manner.

9. Keeps an open line of communication with other Administrative Secretaries, Department Managers, Physicians, and Administrative Officers.

10. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding Administrative activities, patients and employees according to policy and procedure.

11. Responsible for tracking CMEs, boards certifications, and all other certifications or courses required by the American College of Surgeons for all providers who are involved in trauma and burn care.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Graduate
  • Business School or College graduate preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous secretarial and / or administrative experience, or a suitable combination of training and experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
