Position Objective
Chisago County is seeking a motivated individual to help with general duties around the Fleet Maintenance shop. Although seasonal, this is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain experience in parts, auto repair, heavy duty repair, or construction equipment repair.
Essential Functions

- Cleans and organizes parts storage areas as needed.
- Drives County vehicle to pick up parts and supplies.
- Performs general cleaning and organizing around shop areas.
- Assists Fleet Maintenance Technicians as needed.
- Helps shuttle vehicles and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic computer knowledge of software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to drive class D vehicles.
- Skilled in organization.
- Ability to work in a shop environment.
- Ability to learn through hands on training.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Valid Class D driver’s license.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and/or desire to learn about a vehicle or equipment repair trade.
Class A or B with Air Brake endorsement.
Tools and Equipment Used
Phone, computers, copiers, automobile, power tools, air powered tools, hand tools, computerized diagnostic testing equipment, and shop equipment.
