Job Summary

The Scheduler II - Clinic is responsible for scheduling complex procedures and appointments; ensuring thorough and complete information is obtained. Facilitates the scheduling and registration process and optimizes efficiencies and workflows. Works as a liaison between family, insurance carrier, physician office, and clinical professionals to assure scheduling occurs in a highly accurate and timely manner. Assists with covering for the front office as needed.

Pay Range

Minimum $21.98 Midpoint $29.13 Maximum $36.28

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum one (1) year of scheduling and registration experience in a healthcare setting using a computerized scheduling system or two (2) years of front office experience.
  • Preferred: Experience coordinating and scheduling complex procedures. Experience coordinating patient care with multiple departments.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in related field.

Training

  • Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of computer software, i.e. Microsoft products. Ability to pleasantly handle interruptions in work-tasks due to greeting people & answering a multiple phone line. Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking skills, judgment, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously. Ability to obtain authorizations. Knowledge of Government and Commercial insurance systems.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish highly preferred.

Licensure

  • Required: None required.

Work Environments - Functional Demand

Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
