Youth & Community Activities Coordinator
Location: Winters I 110 East Steet Winters, CA 95694
Schedule: Part Time, Non-exempt: Monday through Thursday, 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Reports to: Services Coordinator
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Job Summary:
The Youth & Community Activities Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating After School Programs at Winters an affordable housing community, in addition to assisting in planning, organizing, executing a variety of community activities. Community activities are aimed at engaging residents and promoting community cohesion. This role requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to building strong relationships within the community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide homework assistance and skill building exercises to youth residents
- Work with youth residents to develop their computer and internet skills
- Assist Services Coordinators in developing and implementing a calendar of community activities and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of residents.
- Assist in planning and facilitation of special events for the property
- Ongoing outreach for student participation and adult volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, computer use, and student progress
- Coordinate with supervisor in ordering supplies and materials for programs and activities
Supervision:
- Supervise volunteers as needed
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in all required training sessions and staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Candidate Requirements:
Work experience in services to low-income youth and communities. Classroom/youth group management experience. Community building experience desirable.
