About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plastics Process Engineer to join our team at Chore-Time. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and layouts/expansions to continually enhance and automate the areas. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and other team members to maximize continuous improvement projects and new product development processes that meet cost and delivery times.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinates and performs optimization of the manufacturing processes as it relates to machinery, molds, and tooling to continually enhance output while staying within timelines.
- Writes process instructions for the cell groups, ensuring they have been reviewed and validated to meet equipment and tooling standards.
- Troubleshoots and implements best practice solutions to equipment/tooling obstacles, working with Maintenance and Product Managers, to maximize output while meeting downtime constraints.
- Reviews how the machines operate and the plant layout on a consistent basis, working with the Maintenance and Engineering departments, to optimize the areas.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to maximize continuous improvement projects and new product development processes that meet cost and delivery times.
