Warehouse Associate, Operations

Chowbus is a fast growing, well-funded food startup headquartered in Chicago on a mission to help diners to discover new and exquisite dishes, and to give traditional mom and pop restaurants a fighting chance to succeed without compromising who they truly are. By building a super app, our goal is to be the one stop shop for everything related to food.

The Warehouse Operations Associate role plays a key role in driving our operational efforts in the Restaurant Technology business. The role works on site at our HQ warehouse, and manages inbound/outbound shipments, inventory management, and coordinates with our 20 cities to drive best practices in logistics, ensuring a world class post-sales experience for our merchants.

What You'll Focus On

• Oversee the HQ inbound and outbound shipments process from receiving and tagging inventory, to managing inventory levels and shipping equipment out to other cities
• Ensure equipment needed by local teams gets shipped out in a timely manner, and work with 3rd party shipping companies to ensure process is smooth
• Liaise with local teams to help ensure sufficient inventory levels at a local level, and with HQ procurement to coordinate shipments
• Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse by ensuring stations are reset to specifications, disposing of garbage and recycling, and returning inventory to its designated locations at the end of the day
  
  

What You Bring

• 0-3 years of operational or warehouse experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
• Familiarity with the Google interface is preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills required
• Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively required
• Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders required
• Ability to learn technical aspects of POS related hardware and software required
  
  

Work Condition

• Long periods of sitting and working in front of a computer
• Prolonged periods of walking and standing throughout the day
• Lift, move, and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs as part of regular job
• This position requires regular, in-person attendance at Chowbus warehouse designated location
