Description
Position description: The Facilities Assistant will provide support for the care and upkeep of all church facilities and all approved church events including maintenance, cleaning, set-up, and repair activities. This position reports to the Facilities Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support for facility repairs and maintenance.
- Maintenance of grounds relative to landscaping and accessibility (snow/salt).
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of all rooms, restrooms, common areas, and sanctuary spaces.
- Provide oversight and assistance support to staff and non-staff functions at the church.
- Support key/security systems and assure building lock-up.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout church facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
