A successful HR Manager at Christa will be primarily focused on recruiting, while providing leadership and promoting Customer Satisfaction through quality, service and value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent and build a diverse candidate pipeline. Understand the process is constant and fluid. Provide the most effective options to ownership to stay ahead of the workload.
- Employee Onboarding and Orientation: Manage comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate the integration of new employees. Coordinate orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, culture, and job expectations.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure fair and consistent resolution outcomes.
- Training and Development: Identify organizational needs and develop training initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Collaborate with departmental managers to create customized training programs tailored to job roles and career paths.
- Administer Worker's Compensation and Disability Programs
- HR Compliance and Legal Support: Stay abreast of employment laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure HR policies and practices are compliant. Provide guidance and support to management on legal and regulatory matters, such as terminations and workplace safety.
- Benefits Administration: In partnership with VP of Finance, Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Consult benefits providers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and communicate benefits information to employees.
- Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Create and maintain a Mentorship Program/Plan
- Company Culture: Build and maintain a solid, collaborative culture that engages employees. This includes fostering open communication and recognizing and rewarding Top Performers.
- Conduct companywide surveys to inform Company Meetings and Strategies
- Works with current staff while modifying systems to create a top-notch HR department.
- Performance Management: Administer performance appraisal processes and guide managers and employees on performance feedback, goal setting, and development planning. Implement performance improvement plans when necessary to drive employee growth and productivity.
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Participate in organizational planning sessions to understand talent needs and contribute HR insights for effective workforce planning.
QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Top candidates will have 5 or more years of HR manager or generalist experience with strong recruiting background(PHR or SHRM-CP preferred). Should have an in-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws/regulations with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. General knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.
HR Manager typically have a range of physical requirements, including:
Office Work
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and attending meetings.
- Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling documents.
- Frequent use of a phone or mobile device with or without the use of a headset
- Frequent talking, PC use, and mobile devise use for candidate interactions and documentation and procedural adherence
Sites & Events
- Able to visit and navigate work sites
- Able to stand for extended periods at recruiting events or fairs
- Able to navigate a cart of Christa material for events and/or carry material as needed (20-30 lbs)
Communication:
- Good hearing and speech to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety protocols is crucial, as construction sites can pose various hazards.
Compensation for qualified candidates is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to verifiable experience, education, and technical skills. The pay range for this position is: $90-$100k annually.
