The HR Manager at Love Beets oversees all aspects of human resources, ensuring that HR strategies align with the company’s mission to create a positive workplace culture and support business goals. This role includes managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, training programs, and internal communications. The HR Manager will collaborate with leadership to drive talent development, improve retention, and maintain Love Beets’ recognition as a "Great Place to Work." Enhancing HR operations through continuous improvements to the Paycom system is also a key focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, to ensure qualified staffing levels.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive staffing plan to support business needs.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a primary contact for employee concerns, providing guidance on workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies; manage investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Oversee performance improvement plans (PIPs) to support employee growth, address performance issues constructively, and retain valuable talent.
Talent Development & Retention
- Design and implement leadership development programs for supervisors and team leads.
- Develop strategies to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
- Support initiatives to uphold Love Beets’ status as a “Great Place to Work.”
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Manage the open enrolment process and ensure compensation structures align with business and legal requirements.
HR Compliance
- Maintain compliance with labor laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and ensure up-to-date employee records and policies.
- Define internal HR roles as part of transitioning outsourced HR functions in-house.
Performance Management
- Implement and manage performance evaluation systems, offering guidance to leadership on team management and development best practices.
Policy Development & Enforcement
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and enforce HR policies that support company culture and business objectives.
- Support the transfer of responsibilities from outsourced providers to internal HR teams.
Company Communications
- Develop internal communication strategies to keep employees informed on policies, updates, and initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and staff, fostering open communication and promoting transparency.
HR Systems & Efficiency
- Optimize HR processes through the Paycom system, enhancing data accuracy and accessibility.
- Provide staff training on Paycom functionalities to support efficient HR operations.
Workforce Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report on key workforce metrics, including turnover, retention, and overtime, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Competitive Market Strategies
- Develop and implement HR strategies that ensure competitive positioning in the market, supporting talent attraction, retention, and overall business performance.
Other Responsibilities
- Contribute to business meetings with data-driven insights and proactive solutions.
- Model company values and competencies, provide feedback, and support change management projects.
- Stay current with HR best practices and share insights with the Executive team.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the Managing Director.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, or 2 years of HR experience, ideally within a managerial role.
You will possess a strong understanding of federal and state labor laws, experience within the full cycle of recruiting, onboarding and retention, ability to develop and manage performance review process, and employee develop programs, alongside the day to day manage the overall HR and people strategy of the business.
As our new HR Manager you will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with employees and senior management effectively, strong ability to understand, manage and support employees’ along with being able to deal with the complexities of HR issues and be able to build relationships with stakeholders.
