Master Automotive Technician/Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Master Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Christian Brothers Automotive in Helotes. As a key member of our service department, you will diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles while ensuring high standards of service and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair vehicles for our guests using knowledge and skills
- Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
- 3 years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic required
- ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- Desire for long-term career development
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Hand dexterity to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
