Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) is a Christian, humanitarian community resource center dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities by addressing immediate and basic needs. We serve as a leading network for community resources, offering counseling, care support, and providing hope to those we serve. Our work is primarily focused on the population centers of Summit and Wasatch counties, but we serve all people, regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or gender. We require no membership, dues, or adherence to our faith traditions to benefit from our programs and resources.

Job Title: Director of Development

Location: Park-City

Compensation And Benefits

  • Base Pay: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
  • Three weeks of paid time off for the first three years (accrued quarterly)

Job Summary

The Director of Programs oversees the management, delivery, and evaluation of all CCPC programs and outreach efforts, including the Park City Food Pantry, Heber Valley Food Pantry, and all related initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring programs run efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with CCPC’s mission and values.

Success in this position requires strong project management skills, team leadership, and operational oversight, with a focus on improving processes, measuring impact, and fostering collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Oversight

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year program strategy aligned with CCPC’s mission and organizational goals
  • Oversee the successful delivery, evaluation, and enhancement of all programs, ensuring alignment with community needs, organizational priorities, and funding requirements
  • Create functional strategies and annual goals for each program, supported by measurable outcomes and data-driven insights
  • Ensure all programs are executed with consistency, quality, and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Provide detailed program reports and performance analysis to the Executive Director, including quarterly board updates
  • Partner with the Director of Development to ensure program data, impact stories, and outcomes support grant applications, donor engagement, and fundraising efforts
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and maintain accurate and impactful communication and promotional materials for all programs
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and viewing each program as a distinct revenue or cost center

Program Innovation & Evaluation

  • Regularly evaluate program effectiveness, incorporating feedback from volunteers, program participants, and community partners to improve future outcomes
  • Develop creative, forward-thinking program enhancements that address evolving community needs, ensuring CCPC’s programs remain responsive and relevant
  • After each major program or event, compile an executive summary within 30 days to document successes, challenges, and recommended improvements
  • Directly manage and evaluate the delivery of annual signature programs such as: Hike for Hunger; Back 2 School Basics; Operation Hope & Coat Drive, Tuesday Night Dinners, Easter Basket Outreach
  • Oversee sub-programs including food drives, grocery rescue, mobile food pantries, Snacks in Backpacks, composting, community garden partnerships, and holiday food distributions
  • Ensure all events and programs are well-organized, impactful, and aligned with CCPC’s values

Team Leadership & Volunteer Engagement

  • Provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and support to program staff and volunteers
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across the programs team
  • Set clear goals and expectations for direct reports and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure programs are adequately staffed with trained and engaged volunteers

Community Outreach & Partnerships

  • Serve as a visible and trusted representative of CCPC, building strong relationships with community partners, coalitions, businesses, and other nonprofits
  • Represent CCPC at community events, interfaith gatherings, public meetings, and outreach initiatives, building awareness and support for CCPC’s work
  • Provide leadership for outreach initiatives such as Native American Outreach and Seasonal Worker Outreach, working with local partners to deliver services and build trust
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program expansion and new partnerships that enhance CCPC’s service offerings

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in program management, community outreach, or nonprofit leadership
  • Proven success managing multiple programs and complex projects, ensuring both operational efficiency and mission alignment
  • Experience in volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and retention
  • Strong project management, organizational, and administrative skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, including comfort speaking to large audiences, media, and community groups
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships across sectors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn program management and volunteer coordination software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s or CFRE preferred)
  • Proven track record in fundraising, donor cultivation, and securing mid-to-major gifts
  • Experience in grant writing, event planning, and managing fundraising campaigns
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other donor management software
  • Current valid driver’s license
