Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic-Crisis Response Consultant to join our team. This role is essential in providing immediate support and intervention for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in crisis intervention, triage, and behavioral therapy, ensuring that clients receive the appropriate care and resources during critical moments.
General Summary
Function –This position is advanced social work practice serving as the practical leader of the Crisis Assessment Program and Therapeutic Foster Care Team composed of the youth, birth family (as appropriate), therapeutic foster care parent, therapeutic foster care supervisor and other team members. This position requires the development of expertise in the understanding of both the child welfare system and the mental health system, proficiency in evidenced-based and wrap-around practices, knowledge and experience in providing clinical and case management services to children and families. This position entails managing a caseload of approximately up to 8-10 families and 8-10 youths. Day to day responsibilities include formulating youth assessments, writing treatment/discharge/safety plans, progress notes and other clinical documentation, performing in-home consultations, and case management tasks involving the collaborations between legal, medical, education, behavioral, home and community domains. This position is very paperwork-heavy.
This position is generally a full time week-day functioning job with hours that are flexible to meet the needs of the children and families. Evenings and weekend work may meet the needs of the children and families. This position is a salaried position, thus the employee completes their weekly hours for the job when all deadlines for that week are met. May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in crisis intervention or acute care settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to empathize with clients in distress.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with triage processes and the ability to prioritize client needs effectively.
- Knowledge of trauma informed practices, strategies, and techniques is advantageous.

Pay: $37,600.00 - $57,000.00 per year
