COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization was founded 25 years ago and currently operates more than 500 surgical centers throughout the country, with backing from a multi-national healthcare services company. They are seeking an Administrator for a Joint Commission accredited location in Grand Rapids, with 2 operating rooms and 1 treatment room. Their surgeons see patients in the areas of ENT, oculoplastics, orthopaedics, hand surgery, pain management, and pediatric urology.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new Administrator will be responsible for a state-of-the-art, Joint Commission accredited ambulatory surgery center with two (2) fully-equipped operating suites and one (1) treatment room.
The center is utilized by several surgeons who all have an ownership or investment interest in the center. Their specialties include ENT, oculoplastics, orthopaedics, hand surgery, pain management, and pediatric urology.
The Administrator will oversee a team of clinical and administrative staff members, including department managers.
The main areas of responsibility for the role include:
- business operations
- personnel administration
- clinical services support and management
- quality improvement
- medical staff relationship and credentialing maintenance
- serve as the facility’s administrative representative to the board, community, etc.
The general duties include, but are not limited to:
- oversee daily operations of the facility
- serve as a liaison between the governing board, medical staff, and facility departments
- report on pertinent activities to the governing board at regular intervals
- ensure adequate coverage of duties during absences
- provide overall management of the partnership as outlined in the operating agreement
- lead discussions / presentations during monthly operations review calls
The Administrator is responsible for directing, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of the facility while demonstrating the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial outcomes.
The center is growing and will have a need to expand or relocate in the near future. The new Administrator will play a key role in that initiative.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years senior-level administrative experience in a healthcare environment
- experience managing in ASCs or hospital ORs strongly preferred
- experience in facility expansion and/or relocation a plus

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
