Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Construction Field Manager to lead and mentor field superintendents, ensuring the successful execution of construction projects across multiple sites. This key leadership role demands a strong foundation in multi-trade construction operations, field personnel management, and customer-focused execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial construction, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.


Salary Range: $90k - $110k


Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Leadership & Field Oversight
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and development of Superintendents across all field operations.
  • Standardize field procedures and train teams in consistent execution methods.
  • Conduct routine site visits to evaluate progress, enforce quality standards, and mentor junior personnel.
  • Perform employee evaluations, support onboarding/training of new field hires, and drive performance improvements across field teams.
  • Project Execution & Coordination.
  • Support Project Managers in developing scopes of work, subcontractor procurement documents, and overall project planning.
  • Coordinate manpower scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly to meet project demands using both company and subcontractor resources.
  • Oversee site logistics including deliveries, subcontractor scheduling, and security/escort coordination.
  • Facilitate weekly site meetings to communicate critical project updates, resolve challenges, and reinforce safety and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Quality Control & Compliance
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and product manuals to ensure correct installation methods and compliance.
  • Lead quality control efforts from submittal approvals to final inspections and closeout documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and security regulations; reinforce adherence through routine field inspections and proactive problem-solving.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Maintain positive client relationships through consistent communication and professional representation at all project meetings.
  • Collaborate with Project and Program Managers to report progress, resolve challenges, and implement customer requirements.
  • Provide technical support and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience across multiple commercial construction trades (Architectural, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing), including 5-10 years of supervisory experience; OR bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field with a least 10 years of field supervision experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, tools, and trade coordination.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and capable of managing digital documentation.
  • Working knowledge of federal/state/local safety and environmental regulations.
  • U.S. Citizenship and a valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and travel occasionally as required (up to one week at a time).
