Pay Range : $70K DOE annually, with a competitive bonus program
Location : Salinas, CA (Onsite) with travel 5% of time

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for the sales of our full product line of field commodities and value added SKU’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Sell both commodity and value added programs
- Focus on upselling current accounts, reviewing current and past business
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers to support business development
- Day to day management of key customer accounts : keying orders; working with shipping, appointment loading, CB Logistics, making delivery cross dock appts, pricing orders etc.
- Stay informed about customer promotions and communicate with management / commodity managers
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Identify and develop new opportunities with assigned target goals
- Answer customers questions and concerns, communicate about product supply, markets and availability
- Negotiate daily and weekly pricing
- Check on competitive activity and work to develop opportunities to discuss new opportunities and provide product solutions to customers
- Attend trade shows as needed
- Contract management with current customers
- Other function / duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four years experience in a produce sales office; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Must be willing to travel 5% of the time.Must be willing and able to travel to the various operations of the Company including but not limited to Arizona and Imperial Valley.Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and rotating Saturdays.Experience with Famous software platform a plus but not required.Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and close sales.Ability to perform accurate computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Capable of solving practical problems using appropriate mathematical techniques, including formulas and percentages. Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.Demonstrates excellent time management, self-motivation, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a respectful, professional demeanor with employees at all levels.Proficient in reading and comprehending instructions, correspondence, and memos. Skilled in writing clear and concise correspondence and presenting information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings to employees, clients, and customers.Able to work onsite and adhere to the attendance schedule required by the position.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position.
