Job Title: Benefits Manager
The Benefits Manager will oversee all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, FSA, HSA, 401(k), and other employee benefits. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining, developing, evolving and managing the benefits philosophy and strategy throughout the business. It involves communicating the value of the benefits plan to employees and retirees, and providing competitive employee benefits aligned with Church & Dwight's Total Rewards strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and standardization.
- Assist with managing vendor relationships and engage with vendors to support various wellbeing programs.
- Participate in annual vendor negotiations alongside the benefits broker.
- Conduct open enrollment, benefit orientation and HR introductions at new hire orientations.
- Develop and deliver communications to help employees appreciate and value their total rewards package.
- Manage the annual enrollment process and coordinate implementation of new vendors.
- Resolve operational issues with carriers, investigate discrepancies, and provide information in non-routine situations.
- Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and external vendors to resolve enrollment, eligibility, and enrollment issues.
- Manage the 401(k) audit and support corporate and wealth retirement plan audits.
- File timely 5500's and complete required filings and notices (e.g., PCORI, SARS, SMMs).
- Assist with preparing benefit plan materials, including plan guides, participant correspondence, targeted communications, and employee or HR presentations/trainings.
- Maintain an external focus on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment, sharing knowledge internally within the HR community.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10 years' experience in employee benefits (either consulting or corporate)
- Experience with Workday required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strong critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
- MS Office proficiency, including MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Interest in helping others navigate complex fields
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Travel required 5% - 10%
