Job Summary
 
Reporting to the Research Director, the USHTCN Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the United States Hemophilia Treatment Center Network (USHTCN), a collaborative of Hemostasis and Thrombosis Treatment Centers (HTCs) focused on increasing access to coordinated and evidence-based care for the bleeding and clotting disorder community.  The USHTCN Administrator provides leadership to and partners closely with the governing body of the USHTCN on advancing the USHTCN’s mission and implementing operational goals.  The USHTCN Administrator will also work toward obtaining 501(c)(3) status for the USHTCN.  

Essential Job Duties
  • Ensures a solid organizational infrastructure and ongoing programmatic excellence to support growth, including leadership and USHTCN member communications and policies/systems
  • Maintains official policies, records, and documents, and ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Fosters positive collaborative relationships with other U.S. and international hemostasis and thrombosis organizations to realize common goals for the hemostasis and thrombosis community.
  • With the USHTCN leadership, develops and executes promotional materials and marketing campaigns to promote USHTCN educational and development programs.
  • Engages and motivates USHTCN leaders, program committees, partner organizations, sponsors and funders, members, and staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree or equivalent combination of experience and training 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care administration, and/or nonprofit management and fundraising.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational strategies for nonprofit or medical research-based organizations is preferred.
  • Experience working with and developing an effective Board of Directors and volunteer committees is preferred.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team setting is required.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including diplomacy in communicating with a broad and diverse audience.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with teams and motivate committees.

 Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About the Organization

The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, and other related hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region/Region IX providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
