Purpose:
This position is responsible for assisting Mortgage Loan Officers with CIBM Mortgage products and Processing mortgage loan files in preparation for underwriting and or closing.
Accountabilities:
Essential responsibilities include:
- Daily utilization of loan origination systems and automated underwriting systems "DU/LP"
- Maintaining proper expectations with all parties on the loan file work within timelines
- Analyzing package for completeness to ensure loan file meets investor guidelines
- Analyzing credit, income, asset and collateral documents and submit files to underwriting
- Clearing loan conditions and communicating effectively with Sales, Mortgage Loan Officer’s assistants and Underwriting team
- Professionally and promptly collecting Documentation outstanding from Clients
- Reviewing and analyzing title for all requirements and address issues, insurance coverage for mortgagee
- Maintaining loan file compliance while managing pipeline as various volume levels
- Working effectively under specific time constraints and meet end-of-month deadlines
- Working in a paperless environment
- Reviewing, analyzing, and submitting loan documents to Underwriting based on agency, investor, and company guidelines with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Scheduling and tracking of closing dates, contingency dates and loan lock expiration's
- Reviewing loan approvals and address all conditions required for underwriting and closing
- Preparing and submitting timely and accurate loan files to the Closing Department
- Providing top-class customer service and respectful, consultative guidance to clients
Additional responsibilities include:
- Staying abreast of bank policies and procedures by attending and successfully completing all mandatory corporate and departmental training. Inclusive of but not limited to Orientation, Annual Sensitivity Training and Compliance Training.

Qualifications
Required Skills and/or Education:
High school diploma required, plus four years or more of recent residential mortgage processing experience. Knowledge of agency loan programs, investor loan programs, and underwriting criteria for government and conventional offerings.
Skills and abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions--such as typing, data input, attention to detail, customer service, basic mathematical calculations, organization, and communication skills are required. Proficiency in using computer software for typical office applications and employment-related functions is also necessary.
Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
- Experience processing FHA and VA loans is strongly preferred
- Experience managing a pipeline of 45 refinance or purchase loans
- Proficiency with Empower loan origination software preferable not required
- Ability to calculate income, including self-employed
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to operate effectively & efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work well in a team environment, a team-player
- All applicants must be flexible with their schedules, as they may be required to work after-hours, especially during peak volume periods
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong listening, problem solving skills and out of box thinking.
Nature and Scope:
This position is a regular full time position on a schedule established by the supervisor. Overtime is occasionally worked to meet the seasonal demands associated with the position. The work environment involves the use of typical office equipment such as telephone, computer, facsimile, etc. in a controlled climate.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
