An up and coming mortgage branch is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join the team (Bilingual Preferred). In this role, you will be responsible for processing mortgage loan applications assigned to you, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete, and maintaining effective communication between clients, loan officers, and all parties involved in the transaction. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in mortgage processing software (preferably Encompass), and fluent in both English and Spanish.
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on an hourly rate plus bonuses on closings. You can earn over $100,000 because of the bonuses, if you are experienced, organized and dedicated.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of mortgage loan applications, including financial documents and mortgage types.
- Gather, verify, and review necessary documentation from clients and others ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and update loan files, including the crm/tracking system and encompass with up-to-date information.
- Consistently communicate with clients and all parties involved in the transaction, keeping them informed of progress. We have an easy system you will follow.
- Assist with loan disclosures, locking interest rates, and other related tasks as needed.
- Serve as a key point of contact between clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit completed loan files for underwriting, ensuring all conditions are met in order to obtain a clear-to-close and make sure loans fund.
- Assist as a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) only if time allows.
- Stay updated on mortgage industry guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines throughout the loan
- Handle/Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the loan processing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mortgage loan processor (minimum of 2-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency with mortgage processing software, particularly Encompass.
- Strong understanding of loan underwriting and processing procedures.
- Familiarity with FHA, conventional, and other loan programs
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work with a positive attitude and mindset
- High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of TILA, FNMA guidelines, and mortgage servicing practices
