Reporting to the Brand & Communications Director, this position works collaboratively to develop and execute internal communications, marketing campaigns, and new initiatives. The Brand Coordinator will also oversee email marketing strategies and coordinate the creation and installation of exhibits.
DUTIES:
- Ensures visual and verbal brand consistency across all channels. Collaborates with the Brand Team to develop and implement assets for campaigns, website, and events.
- Develops and manages a comprehensive internal communications strategy to keep staff informed and aligned with the Library’s mission, vision, and priorities. Oversees communication across various channels (email, intranet, newsletters, video, etc.).
- Crafts and distributes regular communications (newsletters, updates, announcements) to keep staff connected to key projects, initiatives, and library news.
- Oversees and executes email marketing campaigns targeting internal and external audiences.
- Leads cross-departmental teams to develop and implement initiatives. Develops project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensures alignment with Library goals and tracks progress.
- Creates content for key initiatives and programs across multiple communication channels as part of the Brand Team.
- Provides narrative and statistical reports, in collaboration with the Data Analyst, to assess marketing effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
- Provides assistance with Library exhibits, collaborating with internal teams to ensure proper planning and execution.
- Manages and monitors marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and services. Adjusts strategies based on performance data.
- Coordinates internal resources and third-party vendors, ensuring project requirements are met and budgets are managed efficiently.
- Assists the Brand & Communications Director with initiatives supporting The Library Foundation, The Friends of the Public Library, and the Anderson Township Library Association.
- Will cover the cover the other Brand Coordinator’s responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrates proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Possesses basic knowledge of design principles and familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Understands and supports the Library’s mission, vision, culture, and structure, and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the Library’s policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates the skills and abilities to interact with the public, staff, and management in a respectful and professional manner that reflects the Library’s Values.
- Demonstrates on-brand customer service to internal and external customers by consistently fulfilling customer needs and expectations.

EDUCATION and MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
- Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Library’s insurance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced skills in analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor campaign performance and assess effectiveness.
- Experience working in libraries, nonprofit organizations, or community-focused institutions.
- Advanced skills in email marketing platforms (PatronPoint preferred) and project management tools (Jira and Trello preferred).
- Advanced skills in design principles and familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
