Who we are looking for
Circuit Media is seeking a Technical Writer to serve one of our federal government clients. This individual will get to work with the client, located in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Federal, regulatory and stylistic requirements for communications, outreach, and rulemaking. The Technical Writer will play a crucial role in ensuring information presented accurate, thorough, and easy to understand while meeting agency policy compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with diverse groups.
- Produce products with a short lead time.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with engineers or designers to understand and communicate product limitations.
- Develop briefings and summaries to report to managers about trouble areas, schedule deviations, or emerging concerns, elevating risks as they are detected.
- Support technical meetings, support project reviews, and collection and management of records decisions.
- Must provide high level word processing and edition, knowledge of formatting, and grammar.
- Apply knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and collaborating with others in a shared drive or document management system environment to achieve tasks.
- Direct development of complex reports and documents with experience conveying technical information.
- May supervise or review the work of the subcontractors staff as needed.
Qualifications
- A BA or BS in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, or other communications-related field.
- A minimum of at least four (4) years writing experience producing high-quality technical and nontechnical documents.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple SDRs, delivering excellent customer service.
- Possess the ability to create cohesive, structured documents based on the input from multiple authors.
- Must have experience of being responsible for all facets of technical writing including structure, format, and organization of the document.
- Proficiency with software programs, such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Federal, regulatory and stylistic requirements for communications, outreach and rulemaking.
- A thorough understanding of the federal notice-and-comment rulemaking process is required.
- Personnel and all designated alternates shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Specific experience with US and international regulatory requirements to produce support safety analysis document submittals.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal security clearance.
Salary Range: $74,500-$90,000 annually. Dependent on relevant experience, knowledge, and performance.
