Citibank N.A. seeks a Credit Portfolio Officer for its Irving, Texas location.
Duties: Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods to identify unprofitable segments within risk appetite boundaries, as well as prepare the test data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting/weighting the raw test results to design credit policies, while balancing risk and return. Execute complex credit risk analysis by utilizing sophisticated analytical tools including SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, SQL, decision tree software such as Knowledge Seeker, and advanced Excel on UNIX and Teradata platforms. Evaluate, implement, and monitor sophisticated leading-edge analytic tools such as machine learning models in the underwriting and existing customer management process. Involve identifying policy improvement opportunities and taking ownership of policy analytics from conception to execution. Evaluate and make business case for usage of non-traditional data sources in the credit decision process. Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis and perform risk and reward trade off analysis. Identify trends and conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS and SQL to isolate key performance drivers. Communicate policy changes and test recommendations, program approvals, and performance trends with business partners, senior management, and external regulators. Conceptualize and develop effective Management Information System /Reporting and data capabilities using Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau to facilitate credit risk management decisions and policies. Create presentations to inform senior Citi and external partners regarding Risk Management growth and control initiatives, forecasts, and outcomes. Collaborate with Marketing, product, Finance, and Legal teams to drive new projects including new product launches and enhanced technology capabilities, as well as in improving business profitability. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Four (4) years of experience must include: Implementing and refining credit risk policy using advanced machine learning techniques including Regression, Decision trees, and Clustering to identify areas of opportunity for optimizing Profit; Leveraging technologies including SAS, SQL, Python and Excel and data analytics to interpret complex data and enhance the credit decision making process; Developing visualizations using Tableau that effectively communicate complex data patterns, trends, and insights to senior leadership; Utilizing scenario analysis to assess the impact of different economic conditions and market changes on profitability; Optimizing portfolio composition and achieving desired profile with acceptable risk levels using credit risk-return tradeoff; Skilled to different customer behavior segments by evaluating different performance metrics and characteristics to figure out similarity and degrees of separation between segments; and Designing credit tests using statistical techniques including design of experiments (DOE) to identify credit underwriting opportunities and identify the best underwriting strategies by customer segments.
