Salary Range: $15.64 - $21.16/hour
Working with Broomfield’s Camp Explorer is one of the most demanding and rewarding jobs you will ever have! We are searching for compassionate, strong, and fun folks to work at either of our high quality camp programs.
The 2025 Camp Explorer program runs May 29 - August 8.
Training required May 19 - May 23 from 4pm to 8pm.
Weekly hours range Monday-Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm.
Locations are Broomfield Heights Middle School for K-5 and Broomfield Commons Park for Middle School programs.
General Duties:
Assists with daily activities, field trips, enrichment classes/programs and special events.
Leads all programs by example; coordinates and instructs safe and age appropriate programs activities.
Attend scheduled meetings as required.
Provides direct supervision to the participants.
Administers first aid treatment, providing emergency services when necessary.
Responsible for proper use and care of materials, equipment, site and facility use
Interacts and plays with children in activities that can include the following actions: running, reading, drawing, coloring, talking, walking and singing.
Provides comfort to upset children.
Assists with cleaning, and organizing supplies.
Administrative duties: Head count documentation, first aid documentation
Complete required training/ certifications in a timely manner.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
For employees 18 years of age an older, 460 hours of verifiable experience with school age children is required.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the necessary applicant traits and meets the State of Colorado licensing requirements for a School age program leader.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.
Must be 16 years of age.
