TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSPECTOR (SR-19) [1 vacancy]

Inspects the installation of electro-mechanical and electronic traffic signal devices, control boxes, traffic camera, and other appurtenant field equipment and related construction work to insure compliance with pertinent codes, standards, plans and specifications; and performs other related duties as required.

Current Vacancy:
There is one vacancy with the Department of Transportation Services, Traffic Signals & Technology Division.  Must be able to work irregular hours, weekend and shift work when necessary.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.  Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of journey level electrician or related experience involving the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signal equipment.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
1.  Current Hawaii State journey electrician's or specialty electrician's license.

 2. Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3), prior to appointment.
