POSITION: Pastry Baker
LOCATION: 85 Fletcher Commercial Drive, Fletcher 28732
SUMMARY:
Perform duties related to the daily production of baked goods such as croissants, danish, biscuits, muffins, cookies, etc. . Mix, laminate, proof and bake all pastry and bakery products. Perform prep & cleaning duties. Communicate daily production needs and information with management.
DUTIES:
- Bake pastries, desserts according to schedule to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods to our cafes
-Mix batters, doughs,etc.
- Laminate, divide and shape doughs
- Clean work areas, perform weekly cleaning tasks
- Remove trash and compost
- Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner
- Follow and comply with established procedures, including health, sanitation and adhere to safe work practices

REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently to ensure pastries are high quality and produced on time.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to taste and evaluate all products to judge quality.
- Able to learn proper and safe usage of mixer, knives and kitchen production equipment.
- Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
-Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
30-40 hrs available
3:30am to 6am start time.
Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
Weekends a must
COMPENSATION:
Hourly
