Job Summary
Oversee production and personnel in the Brewing and Filtration Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Production Responsibilites:
- Assure the brewing and filtration schedules are adhered to.
Personnel:
- Provide daily work direction to hourly staff in the Brewhouse, Fermentation, and Filtration areas.
- Evaluate performance and assess discipline.
- Train employees in proper job procedures and assure safety policies are adhered to.
Administration:
- Promote safety and sanitation throughout the Brewing and Filtration areas.
- Be present during shift change to assure a smooth transition coming on shift and going off shift.
- Review the on-hand raw materials as necessary to support production.
- Enter production and product transfers into Manage 2000 as required.
- Review quality data and conduct sensory analysis for all shift production.
Communication:
- Communicate with the Packaging, Quality Assurance and Maintenance departments throughout the shift to accomplish the above.
- Receive and relay essential information at shift change.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma. Associates Degree and/or brewing studies preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on work in a beverage production facility.
- Strong leadership and team skills. Prior Supervisory experience preferred
- Possess excellent communication, planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good judgment and a willingness to learn.
