POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a strategic, results-driven Director of Business Development to lead growth efforts across the U.S. You’ll drive client acquisition, open new markets, and champion our integrated self-perform model to key decision-makers across industries.

This is a high-impact leadership role with visibility across the organization and direct influence on revenue growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead business development strategies to increase market share.

  • Identify new client segments, industry verticals, and geographies for expansion.

  • Promote City FM’s self-perform integrated service model to prospective clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Lead the full sales cycle—from prospecting to contract negotiations and closing.

  • Collaborate with operations to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.

  • Oversee customized proposals and presentations aligned to client needs.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging market opportunities.

  • Achieve revenue goals and track KPIs tied to pipeline and conversion metrics.

  • Negotiate favorable terms to establish long-term, profitable partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • 7 years in business development, sales, or account management in FM or related industries.

  • Proven success winning large, complex, multi-million-dollar contracts.

  • Deep understanding of integrated FM services and self-perform models.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience leading or mentoring high-performing sales/business development teams.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

  • A strong network in the FM, real estate, or construction sectors.

  • Experience with national or multi-site accounts.

  • Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, and emerging FM trends.
