Description
This role will be responsible for all tasks relating to recording, depositing, and monitoring cash receipts as well as reviewing revenue contracts and creating related invoices. These duties include the clerical and bookkeeping aspects of the tasks as well as ongoing corrections, maintenance, reporting, process development, and projects. This position requires that the Accounts Receivable Associate work closely with the accounting and development teams, and routinely confer with programmers, staff, and management as well as the Mission's external customers, grantors, donors, and contracting agencies. This team member should serve in a manner that will safeguard the assets of and support the operational and ministry objectives of the Organization.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar capacity (receivables, revenues, and cash)
- Proficiency in electronic file management, electronic username and password management, Quickbooks desktop, and Microsoft Office suite products (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accrual basis accounting method
• Ability to perform tasks and make decisions independently
• Ability to work with all levels of staff
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
