Position Summary
Plan, coordinate and implement all in-house training and educational activities for operations personnel in the Transit Department ; provide training in any of the following areas : training drivers to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), proper operations and procedures of a two-way radio system and Albuquerque Ride and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) rules and regulations; conduct research into specialized training classes and evaluate current training programs and perform a variety of professional and technical tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug / alcohol testing.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in organizational training or adult learning theory; and
Three (3) years experience in any combination of the following areas :
- transportation management
- driving experience in a transportation related position
To include one (1) year organizational training and one (1) year supervisory or lead experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License Class B with a Passenger "P" endorsement within a two (2) week period from completion of City CDL training.
Possession of a valid City of Albuquerque Operator Permit (COP) within 90 days from date of hire
