Starting Pay: $48,819 annually
SUMMARY
The Outreach Manager is the primary point of contact for all AMW's community
engagement efforts. This includes but is not limited to. overseeing the volunteer program, creating and implementing educational programs, and general community outreach. This position will be responsible for all pertinent website and database maintenance, volunteer recruitment and utilization; as well as the scheduling, planning, and execution of AMW's community outreach efforts. May perform other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment and retention of volunteers
- Developing and maintaining on-going educational training for volunteers. staff. and the community
- Responsible for creating new ideas for volunteer/staff development
- Maintaining agency guidelines for volunteers/staff
- Act as liaison between the AMW Volunteers and AMW Management
- Maintain confidentiality of volunteer/staff development and performance
- Ability to give. with little or no notice, media interviews (radio, newspaper. or on camera) on topics related to AMW
- Will work closely with management team to create education curriculum and schedule, and execute educational events throughout the community, including events with animals.
- Represent AMW at professional meetings and community events to educate the public and promote the organization
- Capture video and photographs of animals for marketing, website content and related purposes
- Conducts self in a professional manner
- Assists with ensuring that the AMW website is up to date
- Drives City vehicles to and from events
- Provides high-level customer service to both internal and external customers as a member of the AWM Leadership Team
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions while effectively prioritizing tasks
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with other City employees, City departments. outside organizations, AMW volunteers, and the public
- Basic knowledge of animal services and related local programs
- Proficient in operating standard office equipment, including copiers, multi-line phone systems, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications for data entry, marketing, and accounting.
- Possess a working knowledge of marketing strategy and the ability to effectively implement them.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Energetic and able to multitask

Licenses/Certification
A four-year degree is preferred; however, relevant equivalent experience will also be considered.
Required Qualifications
Must have a working knowledge of volunteer programs and marketing
and be proficient in the use of digital tools, software applications and cloud based platforms. Valid Texas Driver's License. Must have eighteen (18) months of documented work history.
