Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the Office Manager performs responsible secretarial and clerical tasks. The employee in this position provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Finance, City Engineer, Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer. Duties include processing utility billing, answering the telephone and directing inquiries to the proper person, word processing, filing and researching information. While duties follow prescribed policies and procedures, the Office Manager is expected to act independently in performing these duties.
Requirements:
18 years of age or older. The right applicant will be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills. They should possess the ability to function well in a fast-paced and high energy environment, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. It is also necessary to be able to multi-task and to learn complicated tasks and demonstrate good decision-making skills. One to three years of clerical and customer service is also ideal.
