Who We Are
The City of Beverly Hills has a long-standing reputation for providing superior customer service to residents, businesses, and visitors. This characteristic, combined with outstanding staff in all departments, has been a hallmark of success for this high performance organization. The municipal government (approximately 1,080 full-time and part-time employees) provides the highest quality safety services, recreational, municipal services, and physical environment.

What We Do
The City's Park Rangers are a dedicated group of uniformed public officials that serve in a variety of roles seven days a week. The mission of the Beverly Hills Park Rangers is to provide a high level of public relations as well as to educate the public and present a safe and comfortable recreational environment for the community. Park Rangers may patrol City parks in order to enforce park regulations and ensure public safety. They may also be assigned to City facilities and events in order to provide facility/event security. Park Rangers are also directly involved in all filming taking place within the City's park system, working with all crew and public patrons to ensure a safe and successful shoot. Additionally, Park Rangers provide community outreach at events such as the BH Farmer's Market and lead scheduled walking tours of the historic Greystone Mansion estate. What We're Looking For
Are you passionate about public service and community safety? The City of Beverly Hills is looking for dedicated Park Rangers to join our team. As a Park Ranger, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of our parks and facilities.

As a Park Ranger, you’ll be expected to work both morning and evening shifts, patrolling City parks and facilities on foot, by bicycle, or vehicle, in all weather conditions—rain or shine. Your duties will include enforcing rules and regulations, issuing parking citations as needed, disseminating information to the public, and conducting welfare checks. You'll also document interactions and refer individuals to the Beverly Hills Outreach Team for services when necessary. Additionally, you'll be required to work during city events such as the Art Show and Mayor's Installation, demonstrating the flexibility and adaptability necessary to excel in this role.

In addition to assisting with commercial film productions, private, and City-sponsored events by coordinating setup, breakdown, crowd control, parking, and enforcing dog park and off-leash rules, you'll also manage wildlife-related issues, such as relocating animals or contacting the appropriate personnel. As a Park Ranger, you'll complete reports, maintain records, lock and unlock facilities, conduct safety inspections, and remove unattended property. You’ll also assist with incident and accident reports, perform basic first aid, and provide security at City events. A solid knowledge of the City’s services, proficiency in using computers and reporting software, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

If you have a passion for public service and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the community, we invite you to apply. Training will be provided, so bring your enthusiasm and readiness to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. To learn more about this division please click here.
