Job Description
This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of city trees.
Examples of Duties
- Operates a bucket truck and other specialized equipment to prune and remove trees; operates a log loader, front end loader, chipper and dump truck.
- Removes dead, dying or hazardous trees.
- Cleans up storm-related damage.
- Removes stumps.
- Plants trees.
- Repairs irrigation lines.
- Assists with snow removal operations.
- Conducts daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Inspects firewood piles.
- Diagnoses and treats trees for pests.
- Performs related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized
education.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the

- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North
