Job Description
We are looking for an individual who can perform a variety of tasks related to animal control services, parking enforcement, and other municipal services. The successful candidate will work closely with our police department and other city agencies to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
- Enforce local laws and ordinances as directed by supervision or policy
- Respond to calls and initiate contacts regarding animal control, traffic control, parking, and crime prevention
- Issue citations for animal and parking-related code violations
- Provide basic animal care, clean-up, and transport
- Evaluate and report regulation signage, traffic direction, and signals in need of repair or adjustment
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma required; three years' customer service experience in dealing with the general public preferred
- Valid Washington State driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
