$12.00 per hour
General Description:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the implementation of a variety of community, recreational, cultural, and special event programs at City of Charleston designated facilities for youth ages 16 to 20. Employment will begin on June 2, 2025, and end on August 8, 2025, with the possibility of extension based on employee availability and departmental needs.
This position is part-time and works under close supervision according to established procedures.
Responsibilities, Tasks, and Projects:

Assist bureau members with planning public safety training programs.

Help maintain records and databases.

Perform data entry and generate various reports.

Communicate effectively with other departments.

Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist the general public.

Utilize Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.

Collaborate closely with the Fire Marshal's Office.
Candidate Requirements:

Must be between 16-20 years of age.
Dress Code:
Business casual attire is required.
Note: No shorts or flip-flops permitted.
