SEASONAL - Maintenance Support Westside Community Center
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association). Approximate dates of employment will be January 2025 - June 2025. Scheduled hours will vary based on department needs. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.
As Maintenance Support, you will:
- Assist with setting up and breaking up facility events and programs, including organizing chairs, tables, projectors, program supplies, decorations, etc.
- Be present as a staff representative for facility events and programs
- Provide facility custodial support during events and programs
- Ensure the safety of all participants and staff
- Assist users with various event and program needs during their events and programs
- Assist with accurate and timely completion of personnel and administrative reports Perform custodial duties post-event/program
- Perform daily custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, vacuuming, removing bags of trash, and external facility/parking lot trash pickup, as needed
- Perform minor facility maintenance such as painting, and minor repairs, as needed
- Assist staff with problem-solving facility issues
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of, and ability to safely use, materials, supplies, chemicals, and machinery used in facility maintenance
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to establish effective working relationships; both internally and with external partners and customers
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Minimum Qualifications
- One year of experience with facility management, including building operations, minor facility maintenance, facility cleaning/custodial support or related fields
