Job Summary
This is specialized clerical work in maintaining the documents of the Municipal Court of Conyers. Work involves responsibility for accurately inputting information pertaining to citations and court dispositions.

- Accurately inputs traffic and City ordinance citations, and court dispositions into court software
- Properly ensures processing of court documents to appropriate agencies
- Regularly attends all Municipal Courts sessions and can include court sessions held at the jail
- Efficiently processes incoming mail, including attorney requests and fine payments
- Accurately drafts Failure to Appear warrants, including copying/filing of warrants
- Accepts payments for fines and probation and handles web payments of fines
- Accurately updates jail spreadsheet on a daily basis, recording booking/release information
- Accurately validates GCIC warrants for the City of Conyers
- Assists the general public at the counter or on the telephone on all court-related matters
- Assists with probation tasks and staff as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of a standard high school diploma, GED or equivalent from a regionally or nationally accredited school.
Licenses(s): Valid Georgia Driver's License
Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of general clerical work and data entry
Certification(s): N/A
Any combination of education and/or experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position would be qualifying.

Knowledge of:
- Court procedures, functions, and authority in the area of assignment
- Court software programs
- Relevant changes in laws and local ordinances
- Legal terms and phraseology as they relate to court proceedings
Skill and Abilities:
- Operating a variety of office machinery and equipment, including personal computer and basic software applications
- Analyzing facts and formulating appropriate courses of action
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Communicating effectively telephonically and in verbal and written form
- Accurately file and retrieve information
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, attorneys, court officials, and the public

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, climb ladders, and maneuver in low clearance area. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
