The Lead Worker is the on-site supervisor when the Coordinator is not available. The Lead Worker is responsible for organizing the day-to-day operations and ensures that the daily maintenance projects are assigned and completed as well as any other tasks given by the coordinator. This position is crucial to the smooth and efficient completion of maintenance tasks on and daily and weekly schedule. As the Parks and Recreation department is open 7 days a week, having the lead worker position ensures there is a supervisor on site every day of the week. The Cypress Park Division is 69.5 acres and consists of 5 Baseball Fields, 2 Basketball Courts, 2 Concession Stands, Jog/Walk Trails, Meeting Rooms, Nature Areas, Playground, 4 Soccer Fields, Swimming Pools, Tennis Courts, and 8 pickleball courts.
Days/Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM
- Carry out daily instructions given by Coordinator.
- Assign the daily tasks to be completed by parks staff.
- Make on-site decisions in regard to the completion of tasks when the supervisor is not available.
- Verify field permit schedules.
- Keep track of daily use of athletic fields.
- Performs playground inspections.
- Inspect park facilities for any safety issues that may be present.
- Complete daily and weekly logs and inspection reports.
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer issues.
- Set up field layouts for the various sports on the athletic fields.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with staff; build professional relationships with staff to ensure cohesion on the team.
Salary : $40,824 - $64,152
